This massive 13th-century tabletop measures 18 feet (5.5 meters) in diameter and weighs 1.2 tons. It dates to around 1290 and displays the names of 24 Arthurian knights. Look closely at King Arthur at the top. He was painted to resemble a young Henry VIII.

This is one of the finest surviving aisled halls from the 13th century. The room features thick columns made from Purbeck marble. Take time to view the stained-glass windows and the historic judge's gallery.

Step just outside the Great Hall to find this recreated medieval garden. It is planted with traditional herbs and flowers. The garden offers a quiet place to sit after touring the main hall.
